October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month💗
Started in 1985, this month is meant to promote the importance of screenings such as annual mammograms and self-examinations as well as raise money for foundations that are working on advancing care for patients. This month is also a time to recognize and honor all those who have had breast cancer - whether they have fought and won, still fighting, or sadly did not make it.
This is also particularly special for TFS, as we have a Breast Cancer superhero on our team, Patria Baugh. Patria spent over ten years on a variety of cancer-fighting drugs before receiving a double mastectomy in December 2020, which she counts as her remission date. We love you Patria and are so happy to see you thriving! 💪❤️
